FAQ

How much does monthly pool service cost?

$125 to over $300 per month depending upon various factors. Read more on rates.

How often do you clean the pool?

Service is available once per week or twice per week. Most customers prefer to receive service once per week.

What is included in the monthly service fee?

  • weekly pool service
  • brushing pool
  • cleaning baskets
  • skimming pool
  • cleaning filter
  • vacuuming pool
  • maintaining pool chemistry
  • weekly report of pH, alkalinity, chlorine, calcium and stabilizer readings

Is it necessary to come every week?

To maintain healthy swimming pool water, a pool must be serviced once per week. The pool itself must be brushed, skimmed and vacuumed, the filters and baskets cleaned, and the chemicals balanced each week.

Why are your rates higher than my old pool guy?

Your "old pool guy" is your old pool guy for good reason. Guys who charge cheap rates simply can't afford to stay at your pool long enough to do the job right. I may not be the cheapest in town, but I do offer the best pool service in Pinellas county. I will show up every week and do everything that needs to be done to your pool, keeping your pool water visually and biologically clean. You can get cheaper pool service, but there is a good chance that your pool guy won't show up and leave you with algae growing in your pool right before your big party or back over a sprinkler head as he leaves your property. I do my job right, and I am very cognizant of my surroundings. I will enter and exit your property without a trace.

My rates are also slightly higher because I include filter cleanings in my monthly service charge whereas most companies charge extra for filter cleanings.

Do you clean the filters?

Yes, filters are cleaned, and the cost is included in your monthly service fee.

What exactly is a "properly maintained" pool?

Properly maintained swimming pool water should be both visibly and biologically clean.

How do you tell if a pool is properly maintained?

First, the swimming pool water should look clean. To know if the pool is biologically clean, you need a test kit, which you can get from any swimming pool supply company. If you maintain proper chlorine and pH levels, the algae and bacteria in your pool will be killed, and the pool will be biologically safe.

Why does my pool have a strong chlorine smell?

You may have an imbalance in your pool chemistry, which is harmful to eyes and skin.

Is algae harmful to my pool?

Algae can clog filters, damage your pool surface and even cause you to become ill. Algae must be killed before pool water is safe for swimming.

Are you insured?

Absolutely. Spotless claim history. No claims ever filed.
